Collateral Atmospherics
Collateral damage is damage to people or property that is unintended or incidental to the intended outcome.
Wikipedia
Collateral Atmospherics speaks to the work I am currently engaged with. It apprehends the documentary process of seeking out a subject, in this case wind farms, and working with what may be captured by a photographic lens. The atmospherics bring a sense of space and time to the subject matter but do not make up the primary subject of engagement. The atmospherics become the incidental visual for the final work. The work constitutes an ongoing engagement with climate change and its expansive manifestations.
